To find a congenial golfing partner, there’s a new way that beats being assigned strangers at the first tee.

It’s called TeeTimeFriends.com

Described as “an online community of golfers from around the world who are interested in expanding their circle of friends and golf partners,” the new organization can be joined online in minutes. Then, as the site explains:

“We give you the ability to search pictures and profiles of men, women, couples and groups from all over the world. You just type in your zip code and search for your new ‘Tee Time Friend’”

TTF points out that membership gives golfers the opportunity of choosing their own partner instead of being assigned a random partner by the golf pro.

The idea for the new service came when TTF’s sponsors found it difficult to contact others who shared the same passion for golf.

One member described planning a trip across country to Arizona. With the new service, “After making contacts with several people via chat rooms and email on teetimefriends.com,” he wrote, “I met up with my new Tee Time Friend and was able to enjoy my trip.”

Members also can book an online tee time, shop in TTF’s store, view the message board, and write in the organization’s blog.

To start, the service offers a FREE posting of a new member’s profile, along with a FREE photo. As a FREE member you have access to all features offered on their site. It's absolutley FREE!

Teetimefriends.com has a blog with useful ideas, such as asking the golf course if it is next to an airport – a question contributed by one member who played as student pilots were taking off and landing just overhead during the entire round. “It’s as bad as a mosquito buzzing around in your ear but one you can’t swat away,” the golfer reported.

Perhaps the most poignant and true-to-life statement in the blog begins, “I can’t tell you how many times I have gone out to the golf course with someone I wanted to spend time alone with, and when getting to the starter he says, ‘Mr. So and So will be joining you today.’”
